Based on the databank of 1 500 000 military traffic map, this paper discusses the theory, methods and process of automated cartographic generalization supported by a car tographic databank, and the stress is put on the feature displacement The methods used to detect feature interference and to perform feature displacement are discnbed, along with some of the algorithmic details used in the implementation of the program |
