摘    要:借助现代计算机和地理信息系统(GIS)技术,以MAPINFO为基本地理信息系统平台,MAPBASIC为模型开发工具,ACCESS为后台数据库,POWERBUILDER为综合集成工具,在对现有大量泥炭资源信息进行处理的基础上,初步建立了中国泥炭资源地理信息系统(China Peat GIS)。该系统提供的泥炭资源GIS数据信息、多媒体信息、各种文本信息对于泥炭资源的合理开发利用和相关科学研究具有重要意义。

Abstract:Peat is one of the outcomes of marsh (or swamp) in its evolution process. It is a kind of nonmetal resources with relatively higher value. China is rich in its peat resource and its trade volume is increasing in recent years. Since the second half of the last century, Chinese geographers, geologists and other scholars have been organized by governments at various levels to do the survey and research on peat resource. A large amount of peat resource information, accumulated in the previous survey and research, needs to be processed with the help of modern computers and GIS technique for their application. This paper introduces the first stage of China Peat GIS which is based on MAPINFO as a basic platform of GIS, MAPBASIC as a model tool, ACCESS as a database, and POWERBUIDER as a comprehensively integrated tool. In addition to thematic map layers of peat classification based on administration regions, physical regions, geological periods, various genetic types, and reserving conditions, this system provides thematic map layers with regard to remnants of plant such as herbage peat, forest peat, moss peat, developing stages such as eutrophic peat, mesotrophic peat, oligotrophic peat,and various application classification. GIS data information, multiple medium information, and various text information in this system are significant for fast inquiry and statistic analysis which can improve accuracy in peat formation and distribution researches. This system also set a basis for further improvement and is significant for developing peat resource reasonably and relevant scientific researches.
