| Abstract: | Yangluo area is one of the rare places exposing high stepped terrace gravel beds along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The gravel beds were formed in Early Pleistocene, and are the alluvia of a paleoriver origining from the south slope of Dabie Mountain. The gravel beds can be further divided into two strata which are different from in time and climate environment: one is Yangluo Formation, the other is Banbian Shan Formation . |
