| Abstract: | This paper is based on the Ninth Five Year Plan of National Key Science and Technology Project and introduces the latest related research achievement: utilizing 3S (RS, GIS, GPS ) technology to carry out land dynamic monitoring in county level; combining Cellular Automaton (CA) and GIS, building CA based model in land use evolution; using the model to simulate the dynamic monitoring data of Baotou city from 1992 to 1998 and forecast the trend of its city land use evolution in the forthcoming 15 years. |
