Machine interpretation of coring by lateral sounding |
| |
Abstract: | Three types of programs are presented for electronic computers, designed to solve some problems of laterolog (BKZ curves) interpretation. Because the number of the auxiliary charts used in the laterolog interpretation was very numerous and, therefore, the procedure itself was time consuming, the goal of this work was to introduce all the charts into the computer memory in the form of numerical tables. The programs offered made it possible to solve the following problem: Given an electrical log as an aggregate of values of the sonde lengths, and the characteristic resistivity values corresponding to the sonde lengths, as well as the additional data such as well diameter, mud resistivity, thickness of the rock layer, etc., it is desired to determine the specific resistivity of the uninvadeci part of the layer, and the parameters of the penetration zone. The programs offered can be used separately, as well as a part of the general program designed for the geophysical data interpretation. — Petroleum Abstracts. |
