Hydrogeochemical processes of migration of sulfur and iron sulfides in fuel shales |
| |
Abstract: | Local hydrogeochemical regime of the Kashpirian bituminous shales is conducive to a significant mobilization of iron sulfide, e.g. by oxygen or by aggressive carbon dioxide, and to migration of iron in subsurface drainage, “downstream,” as well as to its accumulations a few hundred meters away from its source. Such accumulations may be taken as prospecting indications of the shales, under certain conditions. – IGR Staff. |
