| Abstract: | Information on the 17th International Sedimentological Congress held from August 27 to September 1, 2006, in Fukuoka, Japan is offered. The principal topics, sessions, and plans for future investigations, especially drilling on continents and in oceans with the new Japanese drilling ship Chikyu, are elucidated. |
