| Abstract: | An analytical solution of the general plasma wave dispersion equation is obtained for the parameters close to those for which the numerical or analytical solution of this equation is known. This solution is further applied to parallel whistler-mode waves in an anisotropic plasma observed in the Earth's magnetosphere.Now at the Dept. of Physics, University of Sheffield, England. |
