| Abstract: | The sidereal daily rotation of the Sun,  ( ), depends on the data used. From an appropriate selection of the data — sunspots with regular motion — it is found that ()=14.31–2.70 sin2 , where denotes the heliographic latitude. Moreover, it seems that there is a variation, of the order of 3%, with the solar activity. |
