摘    要:核反应35Cl(n,γ)36Cl和37Cl(n,γ)38Cl的最终产物36Ar和38Ar,对40Ar-39Ar定年影响不可忽视,尤其是在测定某些含K量低的沉积成因矿物时更为重要。本文介绍含Cl样品的40Ar-39Ar定年技术及全部数据处理步骤,以及ppm级K、Ca、Cl含量的测定及计算方法。

Abstract:Irradiation of naturally occuring Cl in a thremal neutron flux produces the reactions 35Cl(n,γ)36Cl and 37Cl(n,γ)38Cl, followed by β-decay to 36Ar and 38Ar, respectively. The half life of 38Cl is very short(37.3 minutes), while 36Cl has a long half life(-3.1×105 years). Therefore by the time of Ar analysis in a typical irradiation experiment a small amount of 36Ar is produced, while all the 38Cl has decayed to 38Ar. To assess the magnitude of 36Ar correction and also to obtain a high precise 40Ar/39Ar age, some formulas used to calculate F-value(5-2), plateau age and isochron age(8-1 to 8-9)are given in this paper. 38Ar production from Cl can be used for calculation of Cl concentration(11-1 to 11-7). These formulas are especially suitable for low-K and sedimentary minerals.
