| Abstract: | The north-west corner was the latest consolidated part of the North China platform basement, in which Chartai Group represents an aulacogen sediments and the Bayan Obo trough reflects a geocline nature. Both of them were folded and inversed during the Seerteng movement about 1400 Ma ago and then became an integral part of the North China platform basement.The Subei-Jiaonan terrane squeezed in between the North China and Yangzi cratons. According to the development of blueschist belt, the wide-spread occurrence of ultramafic rocks and eclogites, and the deformation pattern of associated ductile shear belts and weak strain domains, a tectonic model is proposed to show the suture zone of plate collision. |
