沉积盆地充填过程的计算机模拟研究

摘    要:利用计算机模拟沉积盆地的充填过程可加深对控制沉积层序发育的各种参数的认识,还可检验并预测沉积地层、沉积相和沉积体系的分布和配置规律。盆地充填的模拟方法可分为参控模拟和过程模拟,前者使用经验参数控制模拟行为,基本上是对地层几何形态的模拟,后者根据沉积作用的物理规律进行模拟,是一种更为逼近客观世界的方法.所用参数在不同尺度和不同类型的模型中不同,但海平面变化、构造沉降史、沉积物供给、沉积盆地的初始几何形态以及沉积物压实与均衡沉降等参数普遍使用.一维碳酸盐岩模拟模型已较成熟,二维模拟已得到广泛的应用,三维模拟将成为主要手段.模拟将建立在更为坚实的物理定律基础上.并将进一步考虑盆地内流体的流动和热史等.本文最后介绍Stanford大学的三维沉积过程模拟软件SEDSIM及其应用实例。

Abstract:Computer simulation of sedimentary basin fill helps us to understand the geologicalsignificance of various parameters that control the development of sedimentary sequences.It also helps us to check our predictions about the distribution and stacking patterns ofsedimentary factes and systems tracts. The basic methods in basin fill simulation includeparametric and process simulations. The former makes use of empirical parameters to control the simulation, and therefore is basically a geometric one, the latter is based on physical laws that sedimentological processes obey. While parameters used in different kinds andscales of simulations are different, the sea level change, tectonic subsidence, sediments supply, initial geometry of the basin, sediment compaction and isostatic subsidence are themost commonly used ones. One of the purposes of simulation is to study the affects ofthese parameters. Presently, one-dimensional simulation models for carbonate sedimentation has become relatively mature, two--dimensional methods have found wide applicationsand three--dimensional simulations will become the main methods. Looking forward, simulations will base them on more solid physical grounds, and fluids and thermal history of thebasin will be paid more attention. Finally, this paper discusses some simulation results using Stanford University'S three--dimensional process simulator SEDSIM.
