| Abstract: | By investigating Mollusks in East Taihu Lake, the author analyses some characteristics of Mollusks such as its composition, density, biomass and distribution, The relationship between Mollusks and the main enviromental factors concerning hydrology, water chemistry and hydrobiology is discussed. Based on the data of Mollusks over the past 30 years, an explanation to the changes of Mollusks in East Taihu Lake is also given. Based on the assessment of the results, the author suggests that the stocking rate of Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus and M. piceus (Richardson) in the water should be increased. |
