南海北部时间系列沉降颗粒的有机地球化学特征及意义

摘    要:通过对南海北部用大孔径沉积物捕获器采集的时间系列沉降颗粒样品中总有机碳,总氮,氨基酸与单糖组分以及叶绿素等有机组分的分析,揭示了南海颗粒物质中有机组分的主要特征,表明沉降颗粒物质中有机质主要来自近期生长的海洋浮游生物,并进一步推断季风对南海北部沉降颗粒物质通量及有机组分具有重要的控制作用。

Abstract:Organic carbon, total nitrogen, amino acids, sugare, and chloroPhyll were determined in < 1mm fraction of the smples collected by successive large aperture time-series sediment traps (Honjo-Mark VI) in the northem South China Sea during September 1987 to October 1988. The ratio of C / N and the relative abundances of amino acids and sugars show that organic matter in the settling particles from the northem South China Sea is mainly derived from marine plankton (especially phytoplankton).Comparing to the results from other sediment trap experiments, the organc carbon fluxes in our sediment traps samples are relatvely low, while the relative contents (Corg / tota particulate matter) are, in general, similar to the results in Panama Basin,Arabian Sea and Subarchc Pacific. Monsoon-caused changes of Physical and chemical conditioins in the upper euphotic layer control the fluxes of organic matter as well as their compositions and transportation in the northern South China Sea.
