| 摘 要： | 庐山第四纪冰川遗迹,首由著名地质学家李四光教授于1931年发现,并以专著“冰期之庐山”于1947年公布于世。此文发表后,赞称与反对者均有人在。1983年8月,作者在庐山疗养期间,从庐山地貌及其演化观点,对此问题进行了观察,草成本文以示支持李师的冰川观点。文成之后,未遑发表,现值李师百年诞辰之际,特以此文纪念恩师培养之情。

ON THE QUATERNARY GLACIATION OF THE LUSHAN MOUNTAIN |

| Abstract: | The Lushan mountain is a famous tourist place well known in the world. The late Professor Li Siguang(J.S. Lee) had first discovered the traces of Quaternary glaciation on the mountain and its surroundings in 1931 and published the scientific paper—The Ice Age of Lushan in 1947. It led to the attention of the world geologists, some of them agreed with the glacial point of view, but the others against. The author visited the Lushan in August, 1983 on vacation, and made some investigations about the glaciation during that time. Ⅰ discovered that the toporaphy of Lushan is full of traces of Quaternary glaciation, such as the sharp ridges like knife, flat terraces, gentle slopes, depressions, troughs and water falls. Now the brooks in the mountain valley are also small and the geological structure is so simple that such complex topography is quite difficult to be explained by the erosion of these brooks under this simple condition of geological structure. The reasonable explanation is only by the abrasion of the glaciers. The chief topographic units which were influenced by the glaciation may be summarized as follows. 1. The amphitheater — including the depressions of 1) the Luling Lake) 2) the Dianzhandaba; 3) the Yangtianping; 4) the Botanical Garden of Lushan; 5) the Yuzhongchang; 6) the Gulingjie. 2. The U shaped valley—1) the Dajiaochang valley;2) the Qilithong valley; 3) the West valley of Guling;4) the East valley of Guling; 5) the Lianhuagu valley; 6) the Xiaotianchi valley; 7) the W anjiapo valley. 3. The glaciated slope—1) the Jinzhuping -Mumaehang-Lianhuatai slope and its branches on the north side; 2) the slope of Huanglongsi; 3) the northern slope of Botanical Garden of Lushan. |
