| Abstract: | There are five periods of brittle-ductile thrust nappes developed in three Precambrain metamorphic terranes on the south slope of Tongbai mountains. They formed during compression events of various ages,and were alterated strongly in the later extension and con-straction from the late period of Early Proterozoic to Mesozoic. The characteristics of geometry, rock deformation, kinematics, and their significance in the crustal tectonic evolution of Tongbai orogenic belt during the Early Proterzoic to Mesozoic are discussed in this paper. |
