摘    要:国际火山学及地内化学会议以古老火山作用和现代类比为主题,对地幔化学演化、火山作用模型、火山岩含矿潜力和火山灾害防治等15个专题进行了学术交流和研讨。会议展示了采用多学科多手段研究古老火山和现代火山所取得的新进展,提供了火山学家、岩石学家、经济地质学家和环境地质学家相互合作的机会。将火山学研究与岩石圈深部地质-地球物理-地球化学研究相结合,以期建立较完整的有关岩石圈四维演化的总体认识。对大陆板内和活动大陆边缘的火山活动给予更多关注。对洋底火山作用有新的认识。有关火山岩成矿的交流侧重在金刚石、镍和铂族元素。强调对构造、火山和成矿三者的统一研究。对火山灾害的防治有了更多的技术和装备。会议还讨论了火山学和岩石学的发展前景

Abstract:The General Assembly of the International Association of Volcanology andChemistrv of the Earth'S Interior(IAVCEI)was held at the Australian NationaI Univers-ty,25 Sept.~1 Oct.l993.Papers delivered at the assembly, which was devoted to an-cient volcanism and modern analogues, covered a wide range of topics,organized into fif-teen symposia:(1) chemical evolution of the mantle:(2)continental intra-plate and pas-sive-margin volcanism; (3) modeling of magmatism and volcanism;(4)explosive erup-tions;(5)Modern ocean-floor volcanism; (6)secondary volcaniclastic:processes,de-posits,and significance;(7);(8)arc magmatism,tectonics,and the Ocean-Floor Drilling program;(9)assessing the mineral potential of volcanic rocks;(10) pi-crites,komatiites,and associated mineralization;(11)kimberlites,lamproites and relatedrocks,and diamonds,(12)impact of volcanism on the atmosphere;(13)volcanic hazardsand recent eruptions;(14)surveillance of volcanoes and prediction of eruptions;(15)per-spectives in volcanology and petrology.This paper summarizes new advances in volcanolo-gy on the. basis of the assembly papers and abstracts,with emphsis on chemical evolutionof mantle;mechanism,products and models of volcanism; mineral potential of volcanicrocks;and prediction of volcanic eruptions.
