| Abstract: | Sedimentary bauxite ores in China are often with pisolito-oolitic structure. Observations under microscope and scanning electron microscope, microprobe and isotopic analysis show their complexity, so is their genesis. Synsedimentary pisolites and oolites are dominant, then the lateritic ones and a few of them are dia-epigenetic. Quality of the sedimentary bauxite ore tends to be related to morphology of pisolites and oolites as well as their distribution. |
