| Abstract: | The Scholar"is an outstanding ironic and sarcastic novel. While making sarcasm on the various demerits and ludicrous performances of the scholars, some Buddhist ideas, such as bitterness and misery of death retribution and karma, well-management of the country and assistance of the poor and the masses, advocating equality of the human beings, are implied. These ideas are positive and advanced at the author's time. |
