| Abstract: | Germanium in thirty-four SRM's was determined by hydride generation and ICP-AES after separation of germanium from the concomitant matrix into carbon tetrachloride, and finally back-extraction into water. This procedure permits the determination of 0.1 ppm of germanium in as small as 50 mg sample. The precision and accuracy of the method was established using Basalt BCR-1 as the most precisely determined standard available. |
