| Abstract: | Talc and/or pyrophyllite have been detected as suspended particulates in the waters of the Ionian Sea (eastern Mediterranean). Differing from similar findings reported in some recent works by many authors, the presence of these silicates is completely attributable to unavoidable contamination during collection and analytical processing of the water samples. |
