| Abstract: | A morphometric analysis of two closely related species Astarte omaliiand Astarte basterotiwas made. Specimens were sampled from three successive stratigraphic levels of the Pliocene deposits of northern Belgium. Two chronological subspecies were distinguished—Astarte omalii omaliiand Astarte omalii basteroti. |
