| Abstract: | The crystal morphology of native gold occurring in Bainaimiao gold deposit, Inner Mongolia, shows a lot of polyhedrons of combination of the cube {100}, dodecahedron -{110} and octahedron -{111}. In addition, some of the combinations of the cube {100} and octahedron {111} etc.,have been found. On the other hand, the crystal morphology of native gold is related to its composition; the simpler composition, the less impurities. Bainaimiao gold deposit was formed inter-mec-liate-deepseated. Many mineral bodies have been eroded. The mineralization of gold would be gradually reduced downward in the deposit. |
