Fluidisation and bedrock fragments in ejecta

Abstract:Rounded and indented bedrock fragments amongst pyroclastics are evidence of fluidisation during maar eruption. Some fragments also show shrinkage cracks caused by volcanic heat. Compaction of bedding may form striated cone-like features after deposition.
