Abstract:The IHO S-44 5th Edition only presents the recommended survey line interval of 1b and 2 order,while interval of special or 1a order are not described definitely.So,based on the establishment of the beam footprint width model,an approach of survey line interval determination is given according to the IHO S-44 5th Edition,and the interval of survey line control index is also discussed for the Seabat8101 multibeam echosounder system.
