Abstract:INDEPTH MT results indicate that there is no deep fracture along the Yaluzangbu river, instead, a large scale highly conductive body exists between the areas of Jiangzi and Renbu, which dips northward and reaches 55km in depth. It indicates the exposure of the possibly real position of the Yaluzangbu suture. There are three sets of electrical gradient and distorted belts reflecting the structure of fractures in the highly conductive region. These three fracture belts dip northward and converge downward at the major fracture (F3) on the north side. These fractures and many south dipping fractures developed on the north side form the discrete fracture structure of the Yaluzangbu suture. The existence of the large scale highly conductive body has a close relation with the underground thermal state.
