| Abstract: | The physical essence of the anomalous phenomena in recording the resistivity of horizontal strata on cross section of low-resistance conducting basement may be given a qualitative interpretation with reflection coefficient; this paper thus suggests an idea of taking electrical reflection coefficient instead of apparent resistivity as study parameter to overcome the anomalous phenomena. The result of calculations from field exploration data demonstrates further the reliability of the interpretation method. |
