| Abstract: | ccording to the field surveys, observations of the sections and applications of the methods of paleontologic stratigraphy and Quaternary geochronology, the stratigraphic sequence of the Quaternary has been established in Lijiang basin, Northwest Yunnan. The Quaternary is subdivided into the Early Pleistocene Sheshan Formation, the Middle Pleistocene Dongyuanqiao Formation, the Late Pleistocene Mujianqiao Formation and Yulongshan Formation, and the Holocene Wenbihu Formation in this basin. Moreover, sedimentary factes of the Quaternary and paleoenvironment are discussed. |
