| Abstract: | In this paper, we analysed the strong convective weather and its cause, development , moving direction, moving speed, wind strength and physical characteristics, which occurred in the oil development area at the sea surface north of Beibu Gulf on May 3, 1989. Its physical mechanisms and weather characteristics are raised. |
