| Abstract: | In Oct. 2000, since Oct. 13, Hainan was shrouded by a furious storm followed by a historically unusual flood, resulting in serious economic losses. Causes for the flood disaster are the overlap of synoptic systems, such as tropical low pressure, cold air and eastly jet at low altitude, etc., as well as the abundant vapor transmission and the interjunction of cold and warm air in the sky of Hainan island. |
