| Abstract: | In the light of the view of "Opening and Closing" , in combination with the plate boundary tectonics and the intraplate tectonics, the essential pattern of the plate tectonics of China is summarized in three stages: the Pre-Sinian, the Paleozoic, and the Mesozoic-Cenozoic. A comparison of the plate tectonic features in different stages reveals that the general evolutional trend of the China plate tectonics consists in the increase of plate-size, the complication and variation of the intraplate tectonics and the gradual strengthening of the mechanical rigidity of the plate. |
