Abstract:From the above results, it can be seen that the earthquake motion duration and spectral intensity factor are related with the magnitude, epicentral distance and intensity as follows:
1)  The stationary duration increases with increasing magnitude and epicentral distance.
2)  The spectral intensity factor increases with incresing magnitude and decreasing epicentral distance.
3)  Both the stationary duration and the spectral intensity factor increase as intensity goes greater.
The stochastic model of bedrock earthquake motion and its parameters presented in this paper provide a basic method for calculating the random earthquake load suitable to dynamical aseismic analysis and aseismic design for modern engineering structures. They have laid a foundation for further study on the stochastic model of earthquake ground motion.
