| Abstract: | In this paper, the S wave resulting from a simple shake focus, which a horizontal force suddenly applies on rectangular plate set on the ground, was discussed. The wave equation of force potential and displaced potential was built with the theory .of elasticity. Finally, the displaced field was obtained. This re-sult will play an active role in engineering geology. |
