| Abstract: | It was confirmed that Longmenshan foreland basin resulted from regional isostatic adjustments of lithosphere to Longmenshan orogenic belt loading.The sedimentary strata of Longmenshan foreland basin recorded the thrusting history of Longmenshan orogenic belt.According to coupling relationships between them,the model of sedimentary responsing to thrusting in Longmenshan foreland basin has been set up.By analysing stratigraphic signatures recorded in Longmenshan foreland basin ,the thrusting activities of Longmenshan orogenic belt since Late Triassic Norian has been divided into six thrusting episodes,and the evolutionary history of Longmenshan foreland basin also has been divided into six basining stages. |
