Abstract:The Ehu intrusion is composed of a continental crust transformation type (S-type) granite and displays a textural and compositional evolution sequence. With a rock textural sequential method, this granite is divisible into 5 units which are combined into one superunit. Based on the geometry of the intrusion, rock geology, petrology and techono-geochemistry, the author believes that the emplacement of this granite has been controlled by regional tensile stress.
