Abstract:This paper gives a brief introduction to the principles and methods of ground penetrating radar, and to radar data processing by its application in engineering geophysical exploration for selecting Gaotanyuanpanling bridge site. The characteristics of the radar reflected wave of underground karst in radar time section are shown in this paper. Based on the drilling exploration in the site, a model between underground karst and radar reflected wave has been established and the engineering geology data for selecting the Gaotanyuanpanling bridge site is provided.
