网络地理信息系统(WebGIS)的现状及前景

摘    要:WebGIS是GIS技术与Internet技术相结合的产物,它改变了地理信息的获取、传输、发布、共享和应用的方式,是GIS未来的发展方向.介绍了WebGIS的概念、功能、结构模型和平台软件,认为目前WebGIS还不能通过网络来实现真正意义上的空间分析,离商业化和实用化尚有相当距离,还存在着空间数据共享、互操作、表现手法单一、跨平台、数据传输瓶颈等问题.在分析的基础上,指出与OpenGIS、GML、第二代互联网、分布式计算、.Net、移动通信、虚拟现实、网格计算等技术相结合是WebGIS未来的发展方向.

Abstract:WebGIS is the product of integration of GIS and Internet technologies. It changes the modes of acquisition, transmission, release, sharing and application of geographic information and represents the future direction of GIS. This paper introduces the concept, functions, structure model and platform softwares of WebGIS, At present there are still problems in WebGIS development, such as the lack of space data sharing, bad interoperability, monotonous presentation functions, noncross-platforms and limitation in data transmission by the Internet bandwidth; thus WebGlS cannot be used in practical space data analysis through Internet and is still far from commercialization and practical application. Based on an analysis, the paper indicates that the combination of WebGIS with such new technologies as OpenGIS, GML, NGI, distributed computing, .Net, mobile communication, virtual reality and grid computing is the future direction of WebGIS.
