| Abstract: | :
Though main functions of present Geographic Information System include input, store and retrieve, analysis and processing, output etc. it can do little to geographic analysis and simulation, as well as abilities such as plan-assisting and decision-making. Even the popular ARC/INFO system can only make the structured model, which can not meet the requirement of ill-structured spatial problems. In this paper, we have discus sed theories and methods on GMBS "firstly, then introduced GMBS's being established in microcomputer and being applied to "Reginal Harnessing and Development Informa tion System in SanChuan River Basin", therefore grearly strengthens functions of geogra phic analysis and decision of the GIS. |
