| Abstract: | Taking advantage of the fact that Be stars produce a characteristic infra-red excess, the DENIS data — in combination with UBV and IRAS photometric data — can provide us with a quite complete sample of Be stars within about 4 kpc around the sun. This will give us the possibility to carry out further studies to see if there presence is correlated with particular physical characteristics of the interstellar medium surrounding them. |
