| 摘 要： | 中国西部地区城市群是西部大开发的战略重点区和率先发展区,是西部地区未来经济发展格局中最具活力和潜力的核心地区,西部地区城市群的发展不仅影响着我国西部大开发战略实施的大局,更重要的是肩负着缩小东西部经济社会发展差距、全面建设小康社会、维护民族团结和国防安全的历史重任。西部地区城市群由成渝城市群、关中城市群、南北钦防城市群、天山北坡城市群、银川平原城市群、呼包鄂城市群、兰白西城市群、酒嘉玉城市群、黔中城市群和滇中城市群共10个城市群组成,城市群基本上沿交通干线和大江大河流域发育,总体发育程度低,大部分处于快速发育阶段或发育雏形阶段;城市群紧凑度和空间结构稳定度低,大多数城市群处于低度紧凑和不紧凑状态;城市群投入产出效率偏低,且西北城市群的投入产出效率高于西南地区;城市群经济发展的差异显著,与东部地区城市群相比的发展差距很大。国家相关区域政策对推动西部地区城市群的形成发育起到了决定性作用。最后提出了西部地区城市群的总体发展目标和具体建设重点,对西部地区城市群可持续发展具有重要的指导意义。
