| 摘 要： | 地理信息系统中的核心是空间属性数据库，而管理，分析和应用数据库中数据的空间分析功能和应用模型则是发挥数据库作用的关键部分。衡量一个地理信息系统的好坏，不仅决定于其数据库的数据质量，数据量和更新速度，关键要看其空间功能是否强大，实用具有灵活性。一般来讲，地理信息系统的空间分析有很强的综合性和专业性，也具有很大的灵活性。

| Abstract: | The kernel of GIS is the database- a collection of maps and associated information in digital form, while the geographic analysis system in GIS provides the fundamental and important capabilities to analyze the spatial data based on their attributes and map out the results. A general GIS is usually a collection of over several hundrends of programs which provide a variaty of capabilities of analysing spatial data. These programs of models allow users to study real-world processes for making new models. These new models may reveal new or previously unidentified relationships within and between data set, increase our understanding of the real world. For geographic analysis, the various combinations of the spatial analysis components in GIS play the even more important roles in application. This paper firstly reviews some fundamental analysis mathods in a GIS, and secondly presents some application examples using the combination of analysis capabilities in a GIS. These examples include: (1) the suitability evaluation of land using the combination of geometric analysis and database manipulation, (2) snow mapping using the integration method of RS and GIS, and (3) the change detection of different desertification types in different period using the spatial overlay method. |
