| Abstract: | An experimental method for determining diffusivity is studied by using similarity solutions of the Cauchy problem of horizontal flow of water through homogeneous porous media. The theoretical justification of the method is presented by applying a mathematical theorem recently derived by Van Duyn. Some important aspects of data analysis are discussed by using actual experimental data. |
