| 摘 要： | 湖北文化和湖南文化都源于荆楚文化，两者有许多共同的特征，但在其发展过程中由于地理环境、传统文化、社会发展模式等一些因素的影响，出现了不同的特征与发展趋势。如湖北文化比较开放和兼容；湖南文化比较务实和进取；湖北人智慧灵秀，但行为过于谨慎；湖南人以天下为己任、敢为人先；湖北人机会主义思想比较严重，创新常会变成流星；湖南人容易走极端，有时过分倔强和激进。通过对两湖文化在发展过程中的差异比较及其文化地理原因分析，得出了区域社会经济发展的一些启示。认为湖北文化和湖南文化可以互补发展，以引领中部崛起。

| Abstract: | Both Hubei and Hunan culture are derived from the Jingchu culture, and there are many common characteristics between them. But in the process of development, they are influenced by many factors, such as geographical environment, traditional culture, social development model and so on. For instance, Hubei culture is open and compatible; Hunan culture is pragmatic and enterprising; Hubei people are intelligent but the behavior is over-cautious; Hunan people take the social affairs of their own task, and brave to be first; The opportunism is some serious among Hubei people, and the innovation could become meteor; Hunan people are inclined to going extremeness, and sometimes over-stubbornness and aggressive. Based on the comparison between two provincial cultures in the development process and the analysis of cultural geography reason, the paper obtained some inspiration of regional social economic development and concluded that the Hubei and Hunan culture could complementary development to lead the rising of the China＇s Central Region. |
