摘    要:研究表明,湖南砂矿金刚石中存在着两类决定金刚石颜色(主要指黄、褐和绿色)的色心。一类是氮原子中心,有孤氮原子和N3中心。另一类是辐射损伤中心,有GR1、637、595、H3、H4和3H中心。文中还讨论了这些色心的地质意义。

Abstract:This paper deals with the colour of placer diamonds in Hunan. It is shownthat there are two kinds of centre which determine the colour (mainly yellow,brown and green) of diamonds. One is represented by nitrogen atom centres-single nitrogen atom and N3 centres and the other by irradiation damage cen-tres-GR1, 637, 595, H3, H4, and 3H centres. The geological implicationsof these centres are discussed.As has been shown,the 595 centre is quite common in natural diamonds ofHunan. So it should not be used as the only criterion to distinguish untreatedstone. In this paper it is reported for the first time that the 3H centre isdetected in irradiated natural diamond by spectrometer.
