Abstract:Crystal system, cell parameters and possible space group of a series phases contained in Y-Ba-Cu-O system multi-phase superconducting material have been determined by the electron diffraction. The studies show that the main phase is orthorhombic with the cell parameters a=0.3832nm,b=0.3878nm,c=1.1775nm,and the possible space group is Pmmm. The second phase is also orthorhombic with the cell parameters a=0.7109nm,b=1.2155nm,c=0.5666nm,and the possible space group is Pbcm. Besides, other four minor phases in smaple have been determined too. Structural features ( twinning, packing error, etc ) of superconducting crystal have been studied by HREM.
