| Abstract: | The Northern Nanchong Prefecture of Sichuan Province belongs to the red-bed low mountains and hills. The moutain area is 4060km2,occupying 27% of the total area. The population is about 1,600,000. It is one of the poor mountainous regions in Sichuan Province.In this region,the hills are undulating and crisscross gullies are in length and breadth,and the natural resources are rich,especially,land,clamitic,biologic and water ones.The agricultural structure was unreasonable in the past because the forestry was neglected. Thus,the proportion between agriculture,forestry grazing,side-line production and fishry was im-babance,the rate of land-use was low, the ecologic environment was worsening,the natural disasters were sharpening and the people' s lives lowened. So it is necessary to take the forestry as main,to combine the agriculture and grazing and to develop the forestry,agriculture and grazing in an all-round way. |
