安山质熔结凝灰岩中凹凸棒石断层岩的矿物学特征

摘    要:郯庐断裂带肥东段龙山安山质熔结凝灰岩中产出一种白色断层岩。X-射线粉末衍射(XRD)、红外光谱(TER)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电镜(TEM)、电子能谱仪(EDS)、X-射线荧光光谱(XRF。)等结构、形貌和成分分析证明,这些白色断层岩主要由凹凸棒石组成(含量大于90%),属于凹凸棒石断层岩。凹凸棒石呈现40-60纳米的细长纤维,其中的少量杂质是纳米粒度的石英和钠长石。纳米粒度的石英和钠长石形态特征显示它们可能由安山质熔接凝灰岩中原生矿物机械破碎形成。这些凹凸棒石断层岩形成于火山热液活动同一期断层递进变形过程中,经历了三个阶段。首先是安山质熔结凝灰岩在断裂作用下形成碎粉岩,然后是碎粉岩在构造应力和火山热液作用下水化形成凹凸棒石,最后凹凸棒石又在断层活动晚期发生变形。

Abstract:This is a kind of white fault rock that occurs in andesitic welded tuff near the Tanlu fault zone at Longshan, Feidong, Anhui. Analyses of structure and morphology by XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, EDS, XRF and so on indicate that the white fault rock is composed of palygorskite mainly (more than 90% ) , therefore belonging to palygorskite fault rock. The palygorskite in the fault rock shows fine, long fibers with diameters of 40 to 60 nanometers. A small amount of quartz and sodium-feldspar with nanometer scale also occurs between the palygorskite. Nanometer quartz and feldspar should be formed from the andesitic welded stuff during early faulting according to investigation of their morphology. The palygorskite fault rock was developed in progressive deformation of the faulting with involvement of volcanic hydrothermal activity in three stages. Firstly, ultra-cataclasite was formed in the andesitic welded stuff during early faulting. Secondly, palygorskite was developed in the ultra-cataclasite under the tectonic stress and volcanic hydrothermal reaction. At last, the palygorskite was deformed later during the progressive faulting. The occurrence of the palygorskite in andesitic welded stuff has never been reported. Its occurrence as a fault rock implied specific signification. Mineralogical characteristics of the palygorskite fault rock provide actual evidence for nanometerization of minerals in faulting shear.
