Abstract:In order to explore the characteristics of stable isotopic composition of surface water and groundwater in the lower reaches of the Huaihe River,this study conducted representative sampling in this area in November 2020.A total of 13 surface water samples and 82 groundwater samples were collected.Combined with the Nanjing precipitation isotope data released by the Global Network of Isotopes in Precipitation(GNIP),the local meteoric water line(LMWL)equation of Nanjing is obtained according to the least square method:δD=8.49δ18O+17.71,and its slope and intercept are higher than the global meteoric water line(GMWL:δD=8δ18O+10).In the same way,the surface water line(SWL)equation:δD=5.07δ18O-15.37 and the groundwater line(GWL)equation:δD=5.68δ18O-6.28.It is found that the intercept and slope of the surface water are smaller than the groundwater,indicating the evaporation of surface water More intense than groundwater.Groundwater receives atmospheric precipitation and river water recharge.The analysis of the deuterium excess(d-excess)of surface water and groundwater shows that the precipitation recharge of the water bodies in this area is controlled by oceanic air masses.
