Abstract:This paper presents research on differences of sun and moon coordinates from astronomical almanac and JPL ephemeris and the effects of these differences on GNSS navigation and position. The maximum differences are 5×108 and 3×106 m of coordinates of sun and moon calculated with different ephemeris. The difference in angle can be up to 30′ in X direction of the satellite fixed coordinate system between astronomical almanac and DE421 (Y direction is similar to the X direction). Wind\|up correction difference and satellite antenna PCO correction difference can reach 0.3 mm and 3 mm respectively, caused by sun coordinate difference. Solid tidal correction difference can be up to 3 mm caused by coordinate differences of sun and moon. However, the designed PPP experiment has proved that the above\|mentioned influences on the PPP positioning can be ignored. The most efficient astronomical almanac is advised in PPP.
