| 摘 要： | 本文引进应用极值顺序统计量推断一个概率分布尾部性质的方法,并介绍了参数估计的方法。文中举例说明如何应用这一理论预测灾害性地震。这种方法比传统极值方法更适用于无季节性变化的数据。

| Abstract: | The extreme order statistics is used in this paper to infer the tail character of a probability distribution. The available estimating method is discribed and an illustrative example is presented as well. It seems that this method is more applicable than the traditional methods for those data without seasonal variations. |
